Biodiesel blend rate in South America 2022

As of May 2022, the mandated biodiesel blend rate in both Brazil and Colombia amounted to 10 percent. In Peru, the mandated blend has remained stable at five percent since 2012. Meanwhile in Argentina, a new legislation from July 2021 reduced the rate to five percent, establishing it can be further reduced to three percent. Paraguay - which expected to increase the blend rate step-wise, to reach five percent by 2022 - has kept the blend low amid rising fuel prices.
