Loyalty programs were popular amongst large-sized C-store operators, while social media seemed to be the popular choice for small-sized operators. In 2019, 78 percent of large C-store operators in the U.S. used loyalty programs as a channel for ad promotion, while 39 percent of small operators used social media.
