Credit card spending on Japanese brand Uniqlo South Korea Summer 2019
South Korean credit card spending on Japanese clothing brand Uniqlo plunged from around 5.94 billion South Korean won in the forth week of June to around 1.77 billion won in the forth week of July. Overall South Korean credit card spending on Japanese products halved within the same period. The decrease is caused by the trade spat between the two countries and the growing anti-Japanese sentiment.
