India - opinion on likelihood that people will protest against government 2019 and 2020

According to a survey conducted by Ipsos on predictions for global issues in 2020, 55 percent of the respondents felt that it was likely to witness anti-government protests taking place in the country this year. This is not surprising, as India experienced several large-scale protests in December 2019 against the Citizenship Amendment Act.
Overall, Colombia saw the highest unrest with 82 percent of the respondents stating that the likelihood of large-scale public unrest to protest against the way the country was being run was high.
