According to this 2019 survey, roughly one-third of Belgians sometimes did their grocery shopping abroad. France and the Netherlands were the most popular countries for Belgian shoppers. 16 percent of survey respondents stated to sometimes do their groceries in France. Shoppers taking part in this survey stated better prices, interesting offers and wider choice of products as the most important reasons to shop abroad.
