In the fiscal year of 2018, 91.2 percent of violent crime arrests by federal authorities in the United States were of U.S. citizens, compared to 8.8 percent of non-U.S. citizens. However, 97.3 percent of non-U.S. citizen arrests were on immigration charges, compared to 2.7 percent of U.S. citizen arrests.
