Handwashing coverage worldwide 2020, by select region

In 2020, 91 percent of the SDG region of Northern Africa and Western Africa had access to basic handwashing facilities with soap and water available to them at home. In comparison, just 26 percent of Sub-Saharan Africa had access to such basic hygiene services, while 34 percent had no handwashing facilities at all.
