Number of registered prepared meals processing units India 2008-2015
During the fiscal year 2015, there were approximately 300 processing units for prepared meals and dishes in India. In that year, there were approximately 36,600 registered food processing industries overall. The prepared meals processing units were part of the larger food processing sector, which was responsible for the employment of approximately 13 percent of the unorganized sector manpower during the fiscal year 2019.
