
Migration from all continents to the US 1820-1957
Between 1820 and 1957, almost 41 million people migrated the the United States of America from all over the world. The continent with the highest number of migrants was Europe, where more than 34 of the 41 million migrants came from. Following Europe was the Americas (over 5.5 million migrants) and Asia (over one million migrants). The continents with the fewest migrants to the US were Oceania (with over 100,000 migrants) and Africa*, which had just 42,000 documented migrants to the US in this 137 year period.
