By the end of 2022, there were 53,414 small and micro size enterprises in Guangdong's Pearl River Delta, generating combined pre-tax profits of around 280.12 billion yuan. Adding Hong Kong and Macau, the Pearl River Delta is also called Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area. This is one of the most economically active regions in China.
