Latin America: net profit per air passenger 2019-2021
Though 2019 was not an easy year for the airline industry in Latin America, which recorded net losses of more than two U.S. dollars per air passenger, this situation was worsen by COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. That year, the net profit per air passenger generated by the region's airlines was forecast to plummet to more than -39 U.S. dollars, with only a moderate sign of recovery expected for 2021.
