Total number of business enterprises in the Netherlands 2019, by company size
In 2019, there were over two million business enterprises in the Netherlands. Of these, the majority of these business enterprises were companies with very few employees. There were approximately 1.8 million companies with less than five employees in the Netherlands in 2019. Meanwhile the number of larger companies was far lower, with approximately 260 companies with 1,000 employees or more registered in the same year.
