Number of musicians in Sweden 2014-2021, by gender
In 2017 and 2018, the number of male musicians, singers, and composers in Sweden was higher than the amount of females employed in this field. In 2019, there were the same amount of female and male musicians in the country, at 2,800 each. However, in 2021 the numbers of musicians overall dropped to 2,100 and 2,300 respectively.
