The volume of greenhouse gases emitted during transportation of natural gas in Russia gradually decreased between 2011 and 2015, reaching the minimum volume of approximately 93 million tons of CO2 equivalent. By 2017, the figures increased and exceeded 103 million tons of CO2 equivalent.
