Share of cities in Russia 2021, by air pollution level
The majority of Russian cities, or 35 percent, had an atmospheric pollution index (API) of 7 to 13 points. In total, the share of cities exposed to high and very high air pollution, which were assigned an API level above seven points or less, was measured at 53 percent.
