Share of telecom sector profits to GDP 2013-2018

As of 2018, the ratio of profits from the corporate telecom sector to India's GDP had plummeted to negative 0.14 percent from 0.05 percent in 2013. Rising capex investments and balance sheet expansions without commensurate returns along with intense competition were some of the reasons for this drastic fall in profits of this sector.
