This survey conducted in France in 2019 asked the respondents whether they were in favor or against increasing penalties for drivers who use their mobile phones when they commit a traffic offense. It reveals that the majority of respondents, 41 percent of them, declared that they were in favor of the increase of sanctions/penalties for drivers using their mobile phone.
