The production capacity of fluting medium in Germany was forecasted to grow up to 4.1 thousand metric tons by the year 2022. Indeed, among the selected European countries, Germany registered the largest forecasted capacities of packaging production. Moreover, forecasts regarding the manufacturing in the Netherlands showed that the production in this country was expected to remain stable at about 1.4 thousand metric tons between 2017 and 2022. On the other hand, the manufacturing capacity in Romania was believed to remain stable between 320 and 390 thousand tons, the smallest volumes after Slovakia, which was assumed to not produce any fluting medium at all.
