A survey conducted in the United Kingdom in 2018 regarding trust in traditional authority figures showed that while 91 percent of leave voters trusted their family to tell the truth, only six percent of them trusted senior EU officials. In general leave voters trusted authority figures less than remain voters, with the exception of family members, senior US government officials, and UK military leaders.
