Japan: number of freight trucks owned by type 2021

In the fiscal year 2021, light motor vehicles accounted for the largest share of motor vehicles used for freight transportation in Japan, with approximately 8.3 million trucks officially registered. The total of trucks amounted to around 14.43 million of more than 82 million registered vehicles.
