Revenue and expenditure of maternity insurance funds in China 2008-2018

In 2018, state maternity insurance funds in China recorded a revenue of around 78.1 billion yuan and an expenditure of 76.2 billion yuan. Since the one-child policy was abolished in 2015, there is a significant growth of maternity insurance expenditure in China. In 2019, maternity insurance has been integrated into the public health insurance system, and figures on maternity insurance funds are not published separately anymore.
