Amongst the leading English daily newspapers across India, Deccan Chronicle had the highest growth rate of around 16 percent in terms of the average issue readership from 2014 to 2017. Interestingly, Deccan Chronicle, The Economic Times and The Hindu were the only newspapers which saw a growth in the readership over those years, as all the other English daily newspapers saw a remarkable drop in readership.
