In 2019, digital ad spending was estimated to account for 68.3 percent of the total media ad market in China. The 86 billion U.S. dollars expenditure was fueled by the mobile industry. As China was the home to one-third of the world's unicorns, the source projected that digital share in media ad spending would increase to 77 percent by 2023.
