Online education spending share in Russia 2018, by course topic

The largest portion, or 38 percent of spending on online education in Russia was occupied by business courses. The second most popular type was programming training with 14 percent of e-learners' expenditure. Online school program classes accounted for nine percent of the total.

The study analyzed more than 427 thousand receipts with a sum of over 1.4 billion Russian rubles that were created by Russian online educational platforms with an online paying terminal lending service ATOL online. The source estimates it as more than 70 percent of the e-commerce market in the country. The study considered purchases in Russian internet shops paid using an electronic method.
