The loans of large commercial banks, or "storbanker" as it is called in Swedish, consisted of 41 percent mortgages. 21 percent was loans taken from non-financial companies other than housing cooperatives or commercial real estate corporations.

"Storbanker" refers to the three largest banks in Sweden, which are Handelsbanken, SEB and Swedbank.
