Latin America: leading motor vehicle producers 2022, by type
Mexico is the largest motor vehicle manufacturer in Latin America, based on number of units. In 2022, the North American country produced approximately 3.5 million vehicles, of which nearly 2.7 million units were classified as commercial vehicles. Brazil, on the other hand, was the largest producer of passenger cars in the region, with more than 1.8 million automobiles produced that year.
