Consideration of sustainability aspects when buying textiles in Sweden 2018
In a survey conducted in September 2018, Swedish consumers were asked which aspects of sustainability they consider when buying clothes or home textiles. 56 percent named emission of hazardous chemical substances during production as their main sustainability aspect they take into account when shopping new clothes or other textiles. The working conditions for those who manufactured the raw material or the product followed closely, reaching a share of 52 percent.
