Share of current drinkers in Russia 2005-2016, by gender
Among Russians who consumed alcoholic beverages over the past 12 months, the share of female current drinkers decreased by 10 percent between 2005 and 2016, reaching 55 percent at the end of the observed period. The percentage of men of the same drinking status reached 61 percent in 2016.
