Japan: distribution of custom-built houses by building expense 2021

In a survey conducted in August 2021 among owners of custom-built single-family homes in Japan, around 22.2 percent reported construction costs ranging between 20 million and 25 million Japanese yen. The average building cost for custom-built homes amounted to more than 29 million Japanese yen during the surveyed period, indicating a slight increase from the previous year.
