Japan: popular custom-built houses features one income households 2018

According to a survey conducted in August 2018, approximately 47 percent of the respondents in one-income households in Japan wish to build walk-in closets in their own custom-built homes. Features such as "floor plans which enable smooth accesses among various rooms" or "skip floor plans" are the ideas of the Japanese constructors to maximize a rather limited space of Japanese housing situation.
