Lancome, one of the leading brands in China, raised its ad spending by 77.7 percent in 2018. The top 20 brands accounted for 14.3 percent of the total ad spending in China. Three pharmaceutical brands, including Hongmao, Cao Qinghua, and Chan Li Chai, reduced their ad expenditure significantly compared to the previous year.
