Share of LGBTQ+ people having negative experiences in sport in Italy 2018
In 2018, roughly twelve out of hundred LGBTQ+ individuals witnessed the use of homophobic or transphobic language in a sport context in Italy. According to a survey on the relevance of sexual orientation in sport, most respondents believed that organizing diversity training was one of the most helpful solutions to tackle discriminations and/or harassment based on gender identity and/or sexual orientation in sport.
