Japan: popular custom-built houses features two income households 2018

Approximately 42 percent of the respondents in two-income households in Japan stated that they wish to build walk-in closets in their own custom-built homes in a survey conducted in August 2018. Features such as "floor plans which enable smooth accesses among various rooms" or "skip floor plans" are the ideas of the Japanese constructors to maximize a rather limited space of Japanese housing situation.
