Ad spend growth in China 2022, by top product type
In 2022, companies selling healthcare food products spent the most on advertising in China, registering a 13.8 percent year-over-year growth rate. Among the top 30 product categories in China, instant food products recorded the highest advertising spending growth of 67 percent. Yili Group, Chan Li Chai Pharmaceuticals, Junlebao Dairy, and Mengnui Dairy were the largest ad spenders in the country in 2022.
