Panama: internal debt as share of GDP 2000-2018

In 2018, the amount of debt held by Panama's central government to creditors based in the country represented 7.7 percent of gross domestic product (GDP). Panama's internal debt in relation to its GPD has been slightly decreasing since 2015, when it amounted to 8.2 percent. The highest share in the indicated period was registered in 2009, at 2.6 percent.
