In 2018, the volume of loaded goods handled between Swedish ports amounted to 12.8 million metric tons in total. During that year, carbon and refined petroleum products accounted for the highest share of loaded goods, amounting to 5.3 million metric tons. Ore and similar products was the second largest category of goods with roughly 1.8 millon metric tons handled between Swedish harbors in 2018.
