Between June 2014 and June 2019, Lazio recorded the highest increase of gyms among all regions in Italy. As reported by the study, the number of gyms in this region rose by 39.5 percent. On the contrary, Basilicata registered the most significant decrease in number of gyms. Indeed, the number of gyms in this Italian region went down by 5 percent between June 2014 and June 2019.
