According to a survey conducted in March 2019, close to 60 percent of male respondents and approximately 46 percent of female respondents in Japan believed that artificial intelligence (AI) or robots will soon be more reliable than human employees in the manufacturing industry. Overall, male respondents in the survey had a higher tendency of trusting the reliability of AI or robots.
