Share of time spent on popular mobile app categories in China 2019

As of the end of 2019, instant messaging was the most popular type of web apps among Chinese mobile internet users, accounting for around 14.8 percent of their app usage time. Online videos, short videos, and live streaming took up almost 30 percent together. A majority of users spent more than ten minutes per day on the instant messaging app WeChat in China.
