Opinion on cleanliness municipality complaint responsiveness in India 2015-2019
According to a survey conducted in 2019, about 54 percent of respondents believed that their municipality was not responsive to complaints on neighborhood cleanliness. On the other hand, 40 percent of respondents thought otherwise. A gradual increase in the responsiveness of municipality to complaints on garbage collection, waste disposal and street cleaning was observed over the years. Launched for the period between 2014 and 2019, the Swachh Bharat Mission is a campaign in India that aims to clean up the streets, roads and infrastructure of the country's cities, smaller towns, and rural areas.
