Share of data leaks in Russia 2019, by incident type

In 2019, the largest share of data breach cases in Russia were typical leaks resulting in data compromising, meaning that over 80 percent of total breaches involved neither access abuse nor fraud. The second most common pattern was data fraud, which could potentially be used to manipulate banking or tax information, occupying a share of approximately 18 percent.
