Global auction sales of Christie's, Sotheby's, and Phillips H1 2016-H1 2023
Combined auction sales of Christie's, Sotheby's, and Phillips worldwide declined by roughly 18 percent in the first half of 2023 compared to the same period of the previous year. Between January and June 2023, combined global sales of the three auction houses amounted to around 5.8 billion U.S. dollars, decreasing from 7.1 billion U.S. dollars in the first half of 2022 but surpassing the figure reported in 2021.
