The level of satisfaction among the French with gender equality has declined significantly in recent years, particularly within the family environment (a nine percent drop since 2019). The French's low level of satisfaction with equality in the professional sphere is however increasing: in 2021, 38 percent of French people found the professional environment to be equal, compared with 29 percent in 2021.
