Reasons to play online video games in Russia 2020
The majority of Russians played video games on the internet for entertainment, as per 82 percent of respondents in 2020. For nearly one third of survey respondents, online games were a way to distract themselves or escape problems. More than one quarter played to help pass the time, while three percent used it as a method to earn money.
