According to a survey conducted in June 2021, the leading YouTuber among junior high school and high school students in Japan was Hikakin, who received 61 votes. He was followed by Tokai On-Air with 32 votes. According to statements made by some of the students, reasons for voting for Hikakin included becoming more energetic when watching his videos, being able to respect his hardworking attitude, and the kindness he shows by collecting money for the victims of disasters.
