Taiwan's marriage number 2012-2022
In Taiwan, approximately 125 thousand couples registered their marriages in 2022, around 10,400 marriages more than in the previous year. Taiwan's marriage rate has generally been dropping over the last decades, amounting to 5.36 couples per 1,000 population in 2022. However, this was higher than in 2020 and 2021, when marriages were exceptionally low due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
