Leading motivations of British tourists to visit Japan 2018

According to a survey conducted in the departure lobbies of Japanese airports and seaports throughout 2018, for 78.5 percent of tourists from the United Kingdom eating Japanese food was one of the motivations to come to Japan. Japanese cuisine was followed in popularity by nature and scenery sightseeing as well as experiencing Japanese history and culture, both of which were mentioned by a majority of respondents.
