Japan: number of bullied students by grade 2021

Bullying among students in Japan occurred predominantly at elementary schools, which reported over 500 thousand physically or psychologically victimized students in 2021. Within primary school level, bullying incidents were most common among second year elementary school students, of which close to 101 thousand were identified as victims of bully behavior during the measured time period.
