In a survey of 2019, Roma people represented the group with whom Italians felt less comfortable at workplace. More specifically, only 38 percent of Italian respondents declared to be comfortable with a Roma colleague with whom they would be in daily contact at work. Additionally, half of the interviewees affirmed to feel confident about having a transgender colleague. Transgender colleagues represented the second largest group with whom Italian interviewees felt less comfortable with.
