Particle pollution, also called particulate matter or PM, is a mixture of solids and liquid droplets floating in the air. Particles less than or equal to 10 micrometers in diameter are so small that they can get into the lungs, potentially causing serious health problems.

PM10 particulate concentration standard is 15 ug/m3 by WHO and 40 ug/m3 in Poland. National standard is 35 days
Information on air quality in Polish cities refers only to the locations where the measurement stations of Główny Inspektorat Ochrony Środowiska are located.
